My Memorial Day Message
Looking at the sparse attendance In church yesterday morning—especially among the youth—and the submissiveness to the king’s edicts for how we may be allowed in some states to practice our faith in God, I was grieved in my soul, and my patriotic spirit was stirred to a righteous anger.
I am reminded in my spirit that this is exactly what the Communists, the globalists, the Democrats, and other God haters have long sought in the United States of America.
Today we recognize a single day set aside to remember the thousands of Americans who have died defending our nation against just such enemies of our individual rights and liberties. They did not die so that citizens could live wasted lives in pursuit of decadence, perversion, and the goal of destroying what our founders built and gave to us; but rather, for the right to intentionally live as free men and women, self-governors of liberty, and guardians of hope for a better life yet for our children and grandchildren. They didn’t die for people to live like fools seeking only self-indulgence, nor as petty servants of governors ordering jackbooted police to beat them into submission and fear. No! They died that American citizens could be free, responsible, wise, and just. If others choose less it is the gamble patriots, and God, must endure to give men choice.
Through burning heat, freezing cold, and separation from loved ones they fought and died together under the colors of liberty hated by the Left. They died in blasts of heat and flame from bullets, bombs, starvation, thirst, and fatigue; and they died because of their love of God and Country.
But they did not just give up their lives. They gave up everything they, and their loved ones ever hoped for in their lives. They were the very best of America; not the sniveling draft dodging drug dazed cowards who valued nothing except what they could gather for themselves. Many of them gave up the hope of marriage to the loves they would have otherwise shared with their lives. They gave up the generations of children they would now never have and love—and be, by them, loved. They gave up the chance to raise up their own offspring in the best moral traditions and ethics of our Christian nation. While the best of America spilled their precious blood to win peace and security for America, lesser men and women, protected from enemy threat, raised up children of constant wants who could never be satisfied and who seldom made life better for anyone else.
Imagine, for a moment, what the United States of America could have been today if our best had not died in battle, but had invested their greatness in generations who appreciated and would likewise preserve America for their own children and countrymen.
I do not ignore that the best of men and women might not produce wholly useless offspring—Democrats; but I must confess that they likely would have produced far more of the strong defenders of Liberty than those who live only for self-gratification.
And by no means am I suggesting that truly great men and women never survived our wars and lived lives of great worth without serving in our military. Of course, we today have great Americans who have raised magnificent children and contributed mightily to the best interests of our nation serving at home making America great in their own right.
But today, as the scoundrel Communists of the Democrat Party seek to create a new America after the ideals of Marx, Lenin, and Stalin, policed by gestapo like police using tactics of terrorism to smother hope and freedom, we must consider the greater price we have had to pay as a nation for our Liberty (for freedom is not free—it demands a blood sacrifice).
So, today, when people talk of our national treasure, remind them that our true national treasure is never measured in gold, or silver, or trade in goods; but rather, in the blood that free men and women have been willing to pour out themselves of their own and their very lives that we might be truly free. That is truly a great treasure—and with it the families of great free Americans we will never know who were likewise poured out in their parent’s blood.
Let us try to remember—and honor—that sacrifice today and every day in America; and let us live worthy of what they have paid for us to be free.
As the enemies of our Librty and our Constitution seek to deprive us today of our nation, our Constitution, our freedoms, and our lives, trying to force free men and women to put on the rags of poverty and slavery to Socialist government, let us rise up like never before and honor the sacrifice of all those who have paid their everything for us to be free, and throw off the chains of the would be slave masters!
Stand up America and tell the Communist Democrats and their power hungry terrorist police that we will never be their slaves because we choose the Liberty of our forefathers!
Get back to work, America! Reopen America now!
